The Quikrete calculator is an independent tool for sizing Quikrete-branded concrete-mix bags. Quikrete is one of the two dominant bagged-concrete brands in the US (the other is Sakrete). The yield numbers stamped on every Quikrete bag are the source of truth here.
A 50 lb, 60 lb, or 80 lb Quikrete bag all yield the same finished cubic feet per pound (about 0.0075 ft³/lb). 1 yd³ of concrete = 45 × 80 lb Quikrete bags, 60 × 60 lb bags, or 75 × 50 lb bags.

When to use Quikrete
- Small slabs under 1 yd³ (sheds, AC pads, hot tub bases, mailbox posts)
- Post holes (fence, deck, mailbox)
- Sonotubes and pier footings
- Setting fence posts, mailboxes, basketball hoops
- Quick repairs where a truck is impractical
For anything over 1–2 yd³, ready-mix is usually cheaper and faster than Quikrete by the bag. The crossover point varies by region — get a quote from both.
Quikrete product lines

- Quikrete 5000 — higher early strength, reaches 5,000 psi in 28 days; the right choice for structural work and cold-weather pours

- Quikrete Mortar Mix — for brick/block laying, not structural concrete
For most fence-post and slab work, the original Quikrete Concrete Mix is the right pick. Fast-Setting is faster but more expensive per cubic foot.
